Flash drives and external hard drives are amazing devices. Sadly, they're devices I forgot I had when I had to format/reinstall Win7 just to wipe out a rather tricky virus.
That reminds me, I still need to knock my cousin silly for going to that site while I was asleep. "One must, in one's life, make a choice between boredom and suffering." - Mme. Germaine de Sta+½l |

Entrepreneurial spirit does not make you smart.
It does, however, get you noticed. Plus, inane babbling is much better than the kind of drivel an angry tech support caller has to hear on a daily basis. "One must, in one's life, make a choice between boredom and suffering." - Mme. Germaine de Sta+½l |

I just got back from work about an hour ago amidst the 'we won! we won' horn-blaring after the Spurs made the Heat look sick. I just barely realized I was hungry, so I raided the fridge.
I found some marshmallow rabbits from Easter. Probably the little cheap ones from Family Dollar, but at least the candy eyes make them look a little more adorable. So I grabbed one, opened it and started eating it.
That's about the point I realized that two-month-old marshmallow bunnies are harder to tear apart than a closed phone book. Still tasty, though. "One must, in one's life, make a choice between boredom and suffering." - Mme. Germaine de Sta+½l |

But the urge to shake the whole bunny in my teeth while I eat it? I think that's either stress relief or general insanity. General insanity is winning by a very good lead right now. "One must, in one's life, make a choice between boredom and suffering." - Mme. Germaine de Sta+½l |

Yesterday was... weird.
You'd expect for a Friday that the calls would all be belligerent entitlement brats demanding techs to help with remote control problems. Instead I get calm, rational people, and one of them struck up a short conversation about placing state/country with accents without any hint of racism.

Fair enough.
Oh, before I forget, funny 'jerk in traffic' story for you guys.
Mrs. Ruiz is currently on staycation from work, and is therefore more than happy to save me the bus fare to get to work. It's roughly 10 miles or so to get to work.
Four miles into the drive to work, this Mitsubishi Eclipse next to us barely manages to brake before ending up mounted on the hitch of the truck in front of him, and the girl in the passenger seat is glaring at us like we did something wrong. We shrug it off and wait for the light, then keep going.
We see this same Eclipse dart around behind us, speed past us going back into the leftmost lane, and disappear from view... for all of three seconds before they end up stuck at another red light. We're stuck behind more cars, but we still kind of snicker because of the attitude everyone in the car seemed to give off. Even worse for them was the fact that they were behind two trucks this time, and when the light turned green, we ended up passing them up. Just to be an idiot, I even managed a barely passable Road Runner noise.
They're far enough behind us that they're not going to try to speed past us again, but close enough so that Mrs. Ruiz and I can see how irritated they're getting at traffic in general. They must've had enough of having to obey traffic laws because they turned at a cross street about a mile away from work.
There's no real moral to this story; I just thought it was funny that I ended up going to work today with the rarest of 'give me your tears' reactions to someone being upset. "One must, in one's life, make a choice between boredom and suffering." - Mme. Germaine de Sta+½l |
